🌌I started this piece in February 2020, right before covid hit. This was the first piece of a few last year I started, but never finished for multiple reasons. This was meant to be a part of an art installation last summer for a local small EDM fest where myself and dozens of other artists would have an exhibit one got to walk through. Obviously after Covid hit, everything fell apart for it, and I was never contacted again about it. I also dropped this piece because I was depressed, the company I was keeping at the time was dragging me down in a lot of ways, and seeing this for a long time in the corner hurt me as a constant reminder that I was inappropriately handled by someone I had thought I cared about.

I started this piece not even understanding how my life would change, or what life would require of me in the future. What is printed on the scroll that the wise owl is delivering to the High Priestess is, "Every next level of your life will demand a different you." I'm at the next level of my life now, and with it, I will be living my own truth instead of others wishes, projections, or false hopes. As one chapter starts closing, another one is waiting to be written. Everything on this piece was prefinished in 2020, except for the Priestess. I tried keeping her true to form as much as possible in my own way. She still has "horns" and a "moon" inbetween them; instead of columns that have "B" and "J" inscribed on them, she has the letters chiseled in her icicles of truth. Whereas lies of life are warm, friendly, and comfortable, the icy truth can be cold and devastating; yet, growth can still happen which is why there is a single Rose sprouting on her antlers. Tora instead of being on the scroll is a tattoo on her forearm, and the cross is now a rosary around her wrist.

Just some symbolism of this piece, TORA means divine law and the karma memory we carry from our past, present, and future selves named Akasha. The B&J means "Boaz" & "Joachin" of the mystic temple of Solomon. There is some old Judaism in the piece, (and actually Egyptian initially as well since her horns and moon was tied to Hathor). I thought this was all interesting, and worth keeping in the piece. The only part I actually did not incorporate into my own piece was the pomegranates, I didn't feel like fruit fit into this piece.🌌
